“The Lord is gracious and merciful.” (Ps. 145:8)
If God were only a God of justice, I’d get what I deserve. Thankfully, because He is also a God of MERCY, I don’t get what I deserve; because He is a GRACIOUS God to me, I get what I don’t deserve.

About bong roque
Why "B.I.G.G.E.R. Hearts"? It's my personal mission in life -- to Bless, Inspire, Gladden, Gratify, Enlighten and Refresh hearts. I really believe these are the purposes for which I was created and put on earth. As you read every word in this blog, my prayer is that you may be blessed, inspired, gladdened, gratified, enlightened, and refreshed... exceedingly, abundantly, more than you can ever ask or think!
Thanks Bong, this is a great prayer and fitting for the times. The prayer well defines God’s infinite love! In a way, “justice” is already expressed in His ways toward/for us! A reddeming and gracious day ahead!
Bong, when we talk of justice, we truly get what we deserve– punishment most of the times.
It is a different story with God’s justice. When we look at the crucified Lord, we look at and experience God’s justice. As sinners, we get what we deserve, not punishment though, but God’s justice, God’s merciful love and forgiveness. Christ crucified is God’s justice for the dark and dangerous world. Still mercy, still love despite of.
Hope to hear from you.
Thank you!
Dearest Roy,
It is so nice to hear from you after more than a decade. Thank you for God’s wisdom spoken through you. I hope we can see each other real soon. There are a lot of stories to share, I am sure. I’ve been looking for you for sometime now,. Liza, my wife, has asked about you from Fr. Lito Mangulabnan, but nobody knows your whereabouts now. Hope you can spare some time to meet.
Blessings,
Bong
